Film & darkroom
Record the photographic paper you actually used
Keep surface, product and batch information with the print notes.
A note saying photo paper can omit the detail needed to repeat a darkroom print.
Read the package
Record the exact paper product, surface, size and any useful batch information. Keep the package instructions and technical-sheet reference. Do not transfer a process designed for resin-coated paper automatically to another paper type. Storage, handling and processing guidance belong to the selected material.
Evidence: Technical data sheet
Link paper and print
Give the printing session an identifier and connect the paper record to its exposure and processing notes. If changing material, make a new test and keep both results labelled. A clear record allows comparison without pretending that a similar-looking paper guarantees an identical print.
