Digital booths
Find colour-channel clipping before skin turns flat in a booth photo
One RGB channel can clip even when overall brightness looks acceptable.
A face can retain overall tonal shape but lose colour detail in a red or blue area. Check individual channel warnings where available, especially under saturated LED lighting or strong stage effects.
Inspect channels separately
A combined brightness histogram may hide clipping in one colour channel. Camera raw tools can display RGB levels and highlight clipping; values beyond the channel’s representable range lose information even if other channels remain below their limits.

Reduce the brightest colour load
Test a neutral light or lower the intensity of the saturated source while preserving face exposure. A channel cast that persists after white balance may be a capture or illumination limit rather than a profile problem.
Avoid false recovery
If a channel is clipped in the source, editing can approximate colour but cannot recover the missing measurement. Save the original and test a new capture with adjusted light. Compare skin, white clothing and the affected coloured area together. A colour-channel warning is most useful before export, since later compression can hide the original clipped values.
