Photobooth poses for a black-tie evening
Keep the clothes readable and the gestures small enough for the strip.
Formal clothes can supply enough visual character without large props. Plan a sequence that leaves collars, jewellery and expressions visible, then add one small moment of informality.
Make a clean first frame
Our starting pose faces the camera with relaxed shoulders and hands below the face. Check pale shirts and dark jackets in a rehearsal, including the chosen monochrome look. A dramatic filter is less useful if it removes the details people want to remember.
Add one change
Turn toward the other person, share a quiet smile and return to the camera for the last frame. If someone prefers a still portrait, keep that choice. Avoid pulling or rearranging another person’s clothing for the sake of a pose.
Keep a practical copy
Review the saved strip at its final size and select a caption with the occasion and date. Flashroom’s booth moods supply a visual setting; this prompt is our own posing suggestion. Keep an uncaptioned copy as well if the photograph may later be printed in a different arrangement.
